Welcome to our Agriturismo!
In Bevagna, which is located in the heart of Umbria and on the road leading to the famous Sagrantino wine region, you will find the Agriturismo “La Fonte” of Giulia and Francesco Trabalza Marinucci.
The Agriturismo offers the ideal holiday for those who want peace and quiet and to enjoy the priceless historic and artistic treasures that the surrounding area has to offer.
The farmhouse, which overlooks the Mount Subasio valley, from whose slopes rise the cities of Assisi and Spello, consists of four apartments; each thoughtfully restored, comfortably furnished and equipped with every convenience.
The Agriturismo has a private swimming pool, barbecue, covered parking and each apartment has its own veranda with pergola. Free wi-fi.
Inside the fenced private property, about 25 hectares, there are olive groves, vineyards and woods where guests can take walks, go mountain biking, see the animals reared on the farm and even see such small wild animals as squirrels, porcupines, hares and buzzards.
Those who are interested can participate in the farm work such as grape and olive harvesting. In addition, you can enjoy the exceptional extra virgin olive oil and the famous Sagrantino wine that we produce ourselves.
Bevagna
Bevagna Bevagna is a town of 5,024 inhabitants in the province of Perugia. It was once known for the cloths made here, the so called “Bevagna cloths”, which were made from the best hemp and were prized all throughout the Papal States. Bevagna is proud to be included in the Borghi più belli d'Italia(the most beautiful villages in Italy association).
As a Roman town (called Mevania), it was relatively prosperous during the Imperial Era. Roman ruins (a theater, baths with exquisite mosaics, the remains of a temple from the second century AD and a Roman Domus) and charming medieval architecture combine to make a pleasant visit to this village.
Among the most important monuments are the Palazzo dei Consoli, dating back to 1270, which now houses the Teatro Torti; Piazza Silvestri which is one of the most important medieval squares in the region and is dominated by both Saint Michele’s Church, built in the late twelfth century, and by Saint Silvestro’s Church which was completed in 1195. In the municipal museum there are many paintings from the Umbrian school as well as some important sculptures.
Each year in the last 10 days of June, Bevagna is transformed once again into its medieval glory. The Mercato delle Gaite(the ancient name for the city’s neighborhoods) consists of parades, races and traditional dishes prepared according to antique Umbrian recipes. Antique Bevagna comes back to life in the wearing of both festive and everyday costumes of the time.
